Elite Dangerous’ Odyssey expansion is a big deal — it lets players step out of the game’s trademark ships and explore planets on foot. The beloved Omnic death machine has had a rough go with his rework for Overwatch 2. Bastion’s new abilities had a few major issues that led to his removal and subsequent return. Like in previous versions, he can still morph between a few different configurations and lay down a punishing hail of bullets that melts shields and heroes alike in a matter of seconds. With three different configurations, Bastion can go between the ‘humanoid’, Assault, and Artillery modes....

Throwback Challenges are not the only events happening in May for Pokémon Go players. You can look forward to the Snubbull Limited Research event, which kicks off on May 9. The event goes from 8:00am to 10:00pm in your timezone. During the event, trainers can obtain over 50 different research tasks, each granting an encounter with Snubbull, the Fairy-type Pokémon. The post on Niantic’s Pokémon Go blog detailing this event says many of them can be done from the comfort of your home, so you can expect a good chunk of these research events won’t be too overly complicated for you to complete or force you to walk a good distance outside of your house....

Kagura’s Verity is a five-star catalyst that’s expected to drop in the Version 2.5 update on Feb. 16, 2022. It will be one of the featured weapons in the first Epitome Invocation banner, which means that players can chart an Epitomized Path to get a guaranteed Kagura’s Verity on their third five-star weapon pull (if it’s not the five-star obtained the first two times). While Genshin Impact has yet to release an official breakdown of the catalyst’s stats, leakers have released its stats from the final phases of the beta test....

A group of developers that previously worked on Ubisoft’s The Division splintered off to create a new studio called Sharkmob, and now Sharkmob has announced its first project. It’s a multiplayer game of some sort that’s based on an as-yet unknown “cult classic” IP. What that means is currently pretty unclear, but it’s exciting to hear that there’s something new coming from the folks that brought us the original Division, especially since The Division 2 is on the way, and fans of the first game obviously liked the things members of Sharkmob were doing....

It may be an angry, never wanting to play the game again kind of love, but we would all miss it dearly if it ceased to be, and the fleeting sense of anger always leads to one more go. Ahead of its E3 2021 conference, Bethesda made a surprise announcement concerning Fallout 76 on its official blog. This coming September, the online action RPG title will be dropping its 52-player Battle Royale mode, Nuclear Winter, in an update. Despite strong initial support for the mode, most players simply tend to prefer other aspects of the game, according to the release. Bethesda has had trouble with creating full-time lobbies “without also making sacrifices on match wait times,” not to mention issues with keeping the mode updated alongside more popular or recent modes such as Adventure Mode....
