This game is unique in many ways, from characters to weapons and additional gear. What makes it different are the nail designs. For many, these are just petty fashion, but for our main protagonist Frey, they are a source of effects and boosts. This guide will show you how to equip Nail Designs in Forspoken.
How to Unlock Nail Designs?
Forspoken has three types of gear, cloaks, necklaces, and nail designs. All of these items add a certain boost to Frey’s stats and abilities. Unlike cloaks and necklaces, nail designs can’t be upgraded. However, there is still plenty of different nail designs scattered throughout Athia that you can find and equip.
Nail Designs will be available from Chapter 3: Interloper as you complete the main story quest ‘Frey’s Journey: Her Father’s Findings”. You will learn that Tanta used their own blood to pain their nails to strengthen themselves and that you should do the same to gain some stat boosts.
Once you complete this, you can start equipping different nail designs.
How to Equip Nail Designs in Forspoken?
To equip Nail Designs in Forspoken, follow these simple steps:
- Open the main menu
- Enter the ‘Nails’ tab menu found right next to the ‘Gear’ tab.
- Chose either right or left hand
- Then select the Nail Design you want to equip.
- Press the Circle button and select the other hand.
However, to equip Nail Designs, you will need a resource called Breakshards. Breakshards are condensed clusters of rock that hold the magic of the Tantas and are found in chests where the Break is most concentrated.
As you near the game’s ending, you will find more than 30 Nail Designs, each more powerful than the previous one. Make sure you have enough Breakshards to equip every Nail Design available in Forspoken.
