Co-op survival horror game FOREWARNED will be deploying into early access on September 10. Players can expect to traverse into long-forgotten ancient ruins within Egypt. Recover and discover treasure and relics; survive the petrifying sights and abominations that prowl in the ruins.
The story of FOREWARNED centres around an archaeologist who has studied ancient Egyptian lore for a considerable number of years. Recent reports have suggested unknown structures have begun appearing in the Sahara Desert. The location of the structures is not random and are over burial sites of the ‘elite Mejai’.
The Mejai are powerful warriors who have the blessing of long life, given to them by the high priest ‘Harkhuf‘ for the sole purpose of protecting the Pharaoh in the ruins. Ancient texts revealed that the warriors were then known to turn mad and brought misfortune to those around them.
The Gameplay of FOREWARNED
As the player, you will venture into these forgotten ruins and hunt for treasure and the thrill of discovery by yourself or with a group of friends in this intense co-op experience. There will be a vast range of tools for you to choose from and utilizing each one to the best of your ability, as a result, will reap the best rewards for your team. Firstly, each playthrough will have one main relic for you or your team to work your way towards. Along the way, you will have to be wary of the warriors that lurk among the red sands. Those waiting on your naive entry into the ruins.
Secondly, procedurally generated levels keep the experience fresh and rewarding, along with the randomized AI. There will be seven unique Mejai that you as the player will run into, each with their own traits, abilities, and personalities.
Finally, the experience allows for positional voice chat keeping you fully immersed within the experience at all times.
