Hello and welcome to our second segment of July’s game pass coverage! Hopefully, you’ve been having fun with some of the new games added to Game Pass this month. I didn’t get the chance to try much due to various other things, but I’m excited to try CrossCode one of these days. If you’ve been getting into anything, be sure to let me know. This segment though, there’s a lot of games including a few very exciting ones to try. Without further adieu, let’s get into what you can expect over the next few weeks!

First off, we have Mount and Blade: Warband coming to Game Pass Console players. Mount and Blade: Warband puts you in a land torn apart by constant and gruesome warfare. You’ve decided to step into the fight and must assemble a team of seasoned warriors to take on the other tribes. As your tribe, adventure to new lands, conquer other groups and claim the special throne of Calradia in this open-world RPG. It’s an old title, but a very fun one you should try out starting tomorrow!

Coming on the same day is a lesser-known but still very solid title, being Forager from developer HopFrog. Forager is an open-world game, taking different aspects from games like Stardew Valley, Terraria, and Zelda to create an idle game truly special. You gather various resources and craft new things to create the ultimate production facility. This is easily considered one of the best idle games out there, and I’ll be jumping in to try it. Best of all, both Game Pass PC and Console players have access to it allowing even more to play.

Following that is Carrion on July 23rd. Coming from the esteemed Devolver Digital, players assume the role of a monster in a massive, sprawling prison. As you make your way through, you must take down those that imprisoned you here in the first place. With all your powers though, there’s no doubt you can pull it off. Make your way through the facility, kill as many as you can, and evolve into a monster truly to be feared. This reverse horror game looks unique and is yours to try next week on Game Pass PC and Console.

Joining the July 23rd hype train is Golf With Your Friends from Blacklight Interactive and Team17. As the name implies, Golf With Your Friends has you playing the age-old game of golf with up to 11 other friends. Each course is unique, having its mechanics and interesting shots for you to hit. It’s a really fun party game, allowing you to compete with your friends and yell at them when they hit better shots than you. If you’re interested in Golf With Your Friends, Game Pass PC players have access to it. Get in there and let us know what you think.

After that, you can expect to see the upcoming Grounded make its debut on Game Pass Console and PC. This Xbox Game Preview title comes from the team that brought you the critically acclaimed Fallout: New Vegas and The Outer Worlds. Grounded puts you in your backyard, pitting you against even the smallest of foes in a fight for survival. You don’t have to go it alone though, as your friends can join you for the bug slaying survival action! Join the fun and help shape the future of Grounded starting July 28th.

Game Pass looks to end the month off with a bang, starting with Yakuza Kiwami 2. This game comes as part of an effort to put the Yakuza games on PC and is one players won’t want to miss. Following a massive assassination, a war between the Tojo Clan and Omi Alliance is threatening to brew. As Kazuma Kiryu, you must travel to Osaka to bring about peace and end a war filled with bloodshed. Be careful though, as Ryuji Goda will stop at nothing to have this war begin. You can expect to play through this silly, interesting title on July 30th for both Game Pass Console and PC.

Next up for July 30th is a lesser-known game from the No More Robots team. You may know them from their biking game Descenders or their kingdom simulator Yes, Your Grace. Nowhere Prophet puts you in the shoes of a powerful leader, gifted with the power to see and affect electrical currents. Across this expansive and randomly generated world, players must help their band of misfits to survive in this harsh world and reach the Crypt. For those interested, it will be available for Game Pass Console and PC.

And last but certainly not least is The Touryst from Shin’en Multimedia. Admittedly I hadn’t heard of this before due to its Switch exclusivity, but I’m already interested in it. The Touryst has you playing as, well, a tourist. You recently arrived at the Monument Islands, and can now do whatever you please. If you’d like to go swimming, sure. Maybe some surfing is more your style? You can do that too. All of this and much more is available to you in The Touryst, and we recommend it if you want a more relaxing title. Both Game Pass PC and Console players have access to this one starting July 30th, and we hope you enjoy it.

And that’s all for this month’s Game Pass entries. There was a lot here so hopefully, you find something you like. Is there anything you hope to see in the future? Let us know, and stay tuned at The Nerd Stash for all your news, reviews, and more!
