For Honor is looking like one of the best games to hit in early 2017. The game puts players into a world of pure combat, letting them play as historical warriors such as a Viking, Samurai, or Knight. We’ve had a few chances to check out the game before, including a closed alpha and beta, but now Ubisoft is throwing the doors open with a newly announced For Honor open beta, scheduled for February 9th.
The For Honor open beta will run for three days, from the 9th to the 12th, which is only a couple of days before the final release date of February 14th. The game is coming for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, which will all be able to download and play the new open beta.
Ubisoft says “In the beta, you’ll be able to try out the new Elimination mode – a best-of-five series of four-on-four matches with no respawns – as well as the Dominion, Brawl, and Duel modes. You’ll also be able to continue the War of the Factions, giving you the chance to lead your chosen army to victory and claim rewards when the full game launches on February 14.”
Before the For Honor open beta begins, Ubisoft will be hosting a livestream featuring various celebrities and top gaming streamers. Lauren Cohan, Jason Momoa, Alfie Allen, and Demetrious Johnson will be featured, among others. The livestream will start February 7th, and you can watch it on the official Twitch channel for the game.
