For Honor has a surprise for you today on – April Fools day.

For Honor, For Toys, For April Fools!

The Ubisoft press release reads:

Today, on April Fools, Ubisoft unveiled For Honor’s theme for this special day. Welcome to the playground and enjoy the added whimsical gameplay elements until the event ends on April 2 at 4:30 pm UTC! Be prepared to see the warriors as you have never seen before, trading their swords for plastic ones and leading toy soldiers’ armies. Also, be careful not to be too distracted by the shiny rainbows and colorful confetti during executions.

From April 1 to April 8, For Honor’s biggest Testing Grounds ever will also go live for Year 5 Season 1 and feature seven heroes. Testing Grounds is an environment in-game that allows players to give feedback on proposed changes to heroes before being integrated into the live game.

For Honor is about to become a playground for warriors…literally. On April 1st, For Honor: Playground Edition will offer an alternative take on the brutal fighting game. Grab your favorite toys and hop into the playground! pic.twitter.com/i8pVor1szS

For Honor has a history of being goofy, that’s for sure. Just look at its arsenal of emotes. But this is something else. It’s a whole new ballgame. Of course, the expectations are managed. Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the entirety of your life, you’ll know exactly what this is. A very quirky seasonal event. And that’s awesome, of course, if you’re into that sort of thing. You might be, but rarely who is.

Be sure to check out For Honor today to enjoy all the joy of the festivities, bad jokes we all love to hate, and awesome brawling. This IP isn’t successful for no reason. For the most part, the frequent updates and content packages keep the experience fresh. Case in point: today.

In other news, PlayStation Plus games for April revealed, and Batman: The Long Halloween cast was revealed.
