Nintendo Switch owners can now download Sega’s Football Manager series on the popular console and lead their favorite soccer teams to greatness.
Football Manager Touch 2018, the Android and iOS version of the Football Manager 2018 game, can now be purchased on the Nintendo Switch eShop as a digital download. It’s not available at retail at this time, however.
“This is a milestone release for Football Manager,” said Sports Interactive’s studio director Miles Jacobson. “This is our first console release in a number of years but it is also our most innovative release of Football Manager Touch to date thanks to the various control methods we’ve included that gives everyone a way of playing Football Manager that suits them.”
The Switch version of the game is being co-developed by Sports Interactive and sister game development studio Hardlight, who’s known for creating mobile titles Sonic Dash and Sonic Jump.
Football Manager for the Switch will include all of the same features as the Android and iOS versions, alongside a few different options exclusively for Switch players. Players can manage any club from more than 50 countries around the world and decide who plays, roster moves and acquisitions, and how the team works.
The game has been optimized for the Switch with its own customized control scheme that takes full advantage of the system’s various control options. The game comes with full touchscreen support, which is a lot like the original game for mobile devices, and Joy-Con support.
