Since the reveal of Football Manager 2020 a few short weeks ago, not much has been said surrounding the new features that were teased by Sports Interactive and Sega in the original announcement. That is until now. With only a few weeks until launch, Sega has finally lifted the lid on what’s new this year.
In a press release, Sports Interactive said:
One of the most exciting new features for this year’s game is the development center. This is a new hub for young players to better enable their potential until they are ready to move into first-team affairs. The development center also shows a ‘one-to-watch’ tab, whilst also showing players that are in need of attention to ensure they can reach their potential.
Improvements have also been made to interactions with the board in the form of ‘club vision’. This is essentially more long-term goals for the club and doesn’t just reflect the league position you achieve each year.
The board now sets their club vision that gives each player save a more unique identity and the feel of always working towards something. This is outlined in the welcome meeting, even before you hit the inbox for the first time. This meeting also takes place in a new boardroom environment.
Football Manager 2020 will release this November for PC, IOS and Android devices, Nintendo Switch, and Google Stadia once the streaming platform launches.
