Gameplay and Details

Ray McCaffrey, executive producer of Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach, has revealed further details on the production of the game in a recent blog post. As teased in Five Night’s at Freddy’s Security Breach trailer, the game will be a first-person, survival horror game set in Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex. You will play as a little boy named Gregory, who becomes trapped inside the building overnight, and must fight for his survival as the overnight procedures begin. Players can expect to encounter several familiar characters and foes from the Five Night’s at Freddy’s series, including Roxy, Chica, Monty, and of course, Freddy Fazbear himself, who serves as your guide.

“Freddy Fazbear himself is your most dependable ally, acting as a guide and protector through the Pizzaplex, giving you shortcuts, insider tips, and warnings about the challenges you’ll face. You can also hop inside Freddy’s oversized birthday-cake-hatch, allowing you to hide and march around undetected”, a section of the blog post reads.

The other animatronics will relentlessly pursue the player if they see them, and players will have to be aware of their current stamina and location to ensure they escape without being caught. Players can use a variety of tools to avoid detection and protect themselves, such as the Faz Cam to temporarily stun enemies and the FazBlaster, which has unlimited ammo but requires a direct headshot to be effective.

More details are expected to be released on the game as the release date draws near, and McCaffrey teased more details and features, such as unique office escape games, boss battles, different enemy types, and even fully playable arcades within the Pizzaplex.
