UFC has enjoyed another admirable year so far, with there having been plenty of interesting and highly entertaining match-ups inside the octagon within the biggest MMA organization in the world.
But the action doesn’t stop at this stage of 2019, with many more fascinating tussles coming up on the horizon for fight fans to enjoy from the comfort of their own homes.
Whether fans are based in America, the UK, or anywhere else across the globe, there are always mammoth UFC fight nights taking place across every continent, and they can all be viewed on any mobile or laptop device.
With so many more exciting bouts coming up in March and beyond this year, fans can watch UFC online anywhere and get involved with every punch thrown, every kick delivered, and every knockout or submission gained inside the cage.
So, with that in mind, here are five of the biggest and best UFC clashes coming up in 2019 for fans to enjoy.
Edson Barboza v Justin Gaethje (Sunday, March 31st)
The most imminent entertaining scrap in the UFC is the intriguing battle of lightweight contenders between Edson Barboza and Justin Gaethje, which is set to take place at the end of the month on March 31st in what is expected to be another all-out bout.
Both men are always involved in superb fights, and this has all the ingredients of producing further fireworks at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia for the UFC main event. It’s one that could end up being a Fight of the Year contender for sure, based on both men’s past exploits.
The pair have endured mixed results in previous outings, both losing to the top guys in the division of late, but this crucial clash represents a massive opportunity to bounce back towards a title shot in the weight class.
Max Holloway v Dustin Poirier (Sunday, April 14th)
This is the big one. With the UFC’s main attraction Conor McGregor not looking likely to return any time soon and the current lightweight titleholder Khabib Nurmagomedov being out of action for some time, it’s time for the other top talents to step in and shine.
Dominant featherweight kingpin Max Holloway moves up to 155 pounds for this rematch against former conqueror Dustin Poirier, who has been on a hugely impressive run.
The interim lightweight strap is on the line in this highly-awaited bout, and the winner would earn a crack at the proper gold further down the line, whoever the champion maybe by that time. This is one not to be missed at UFC 236 at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
Kelvin Gastelum v Israel Adesanya (Sunday, April 14th)
Both Kevin Gastelum and Israel Adesanya were scheduled to meet previously, but proceedings fell apart and the bout was scuppered.
They will finally lock horns though at UFC 236 in the co-main event before Holloway and Poirier trade blows once again in their second scuffle.
The winner of this meeting will claim the interim middleweight strap and edge closer towards an opportunity of fighting for the undisputed crown.
‘Stylebender’ has become one of the most exciting fighters to watch in the UFC, proven by his bout with the legendary Anderson Silva, and he will attempt to add to his growing reputation with a big win in April.
Rose Namajunas v Jessica Andrade (Sunday, May 12th)
Over to the women’s fights next, and the hugely popular and talented Rose Namajunas is back in action as she collides with her latest challenger Jessica Andrade at UFC 237.
This main event clash between the pair of deadly female fighters takes place in front of the rapturous Brazilian fight fans in Rio De Janeiro.
They will undoubtedly be treated to another great match-up, with ‘Thug Rose’ aiming to retain her strawweight belt once again after impressive back-to-back successes over former division queen Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
Jose Aldo v Alexander Volkanovski (Sunday, May 12th)
Since suffering two consecutive defeats at the hands of Max Holloway, former 145-pound kingpin Jose Aldo has been busy rebuilding his career.
The Brazilian legend had also tasted the bitterness of that 13-second loss to Conor McGregor, but he seems to be back on track recently after two impressive stoppage victories over Jeremy Stephens and Renato Moicano.
Aldo will next face Alexander Volkanovski in a tasty battle on the home territory of Brazil, where he is worshipped for his success in the sport of MMA.
He may yet earn himself another shot at his former belt with a victory here, and it’s a UFC 237 Fight Night that simply cannot be missed by fans as Aldo looks to maintain his recent resurgence.
