After a two-year delay and almost five years of waiting, Bob’s Burgers fans can now celebrate. The first look at The Bob’s Burgers Movie will air during the 2022 College Football Playoff National Championship Game.
News Concerns reports that The Bob’s Burgers Movie is one of 11 sponsors of the big game between No. 1 Alabama and No. 3 Georgia. Bob’s Burgers writer and producer Jon Schroeder tweeted, “Watch the incredible rematch between Georgia and Alabama AND get a first look at #TheBobsBurgersMovie!”
The Bob’s Burgers Movie was announced in 2017. The film was originally planned for a July 2020 release. However, the Covid-19 pandemic caused the film to be delayed. It was announced on September 10, 2021, that the movie would be released on Memorial Day weekend of 2022.
This is not the only Bob’s Burgers Movie news to get excited about. 20th Century Studios recently shared the plot of the movie. The plot will involve a ruptured water main causing a huge sinkhole to develop right in of Bob’s Burgers restaurant causing detriment to their summer business. While Bob and Linda Belcher try to keep the restaurant up and running, the Belcher children (Tina, Gene, and Louise) try to solve a mystery that could save their family’s restaurant. The family of underdogs must face a few dangers as they make their way back behind the counter.
Other expectations for the film are original musical numbers, a frequent occurrence in the series, as well as the revealing of why Louise always wears bunny ears. Louise is also expected to appear in another adventurous dream with her beloved toy Kuchi Kopi, which is a nod to her fever dream in the episode “Flu-ouise.”
