Following the yesterday’s announcement of a Nintendo Switch port of Monster Hunter XX, Capcom has revealed today the first trailer and some of the features of this new version. The game, which will be released in Japan on August 25th, will allow transfers of the save games from the original Nintendo 3DS version and online multiplayer game with users of both consoles together.
Capcom and Nintendo are also taking advantage of the popularity of the brand in Japan by releasing a limited Nintendo Switch bundle featuring a special design of the console and a copy of the game.
As it has happened with other ports from portable consoles to more powerful devices, Monster Hunter XX Nintendo Switch Ver. is still undeniably the same game, with the graphic upgrade limited to the general look of textures, instead of reworking some of the designs.
Capcom has still not revealed any plans for a Western release of the game, but they are expected to do so in the coming months. For now, watch the first trailer of Monster Hunter XX Nintendo Switch Ver. below.
