Throughout its 22-year history, Shacknews and its Chatty community have become known for their love of competitive gaming. Community members will know these as Shackbattles. Well, Shackbattles are getting a big bump in visibility with the first ever Shacknews World Championship set to take place at E3 2018. The event will feature a $50,000 prize pool.
Shacknews World Championship
The inaugural Shacknews World Championship will serve as the company’s first ever esports event and will kick off the Shacknews Champions League. League events are limited to gamers who are 30 years of age and older, but the Shacknews World Championship at E3 2018 will be open to all ages. For those interested in registering for this 128-person tournament, stop by the Shacknews E3 2018 booth (#5434) in West Hall on Tuesday, June 12, 2018. Because both registration and the event itself take place at E3 2018, it’s only open to those in attendance.
The Shacknews World Championship will feature several rounds, with only the top three competitors earning prize money. Third place gets $5,000, second place gets $15,000, and first place gets $30,000. The action will consist of multiple games which have yet to be officially announced. Shacknews will be providing many other reasons to visit their booth, but the esports tournament and prize pool top the list. Head to Shacknews to stay up to date on their E3 presence as the event draws closer.
