Campo Santo’s Firewatch has been one of the earliest success stories of 2016, being a unique game from a new studio that pretty much everyone is talking about. While buzz doesn’t always necessarily translate into sales, the developer has revealed some very promising news in that area.

Campo Santo revealed on Twitter that the sales of Firewatch have been far greater than they imagined so far. They go on to say that, “Campo Santo is going to be around for a while and we can’t wait to make whatever is next.” Official sales numbers have not been revealed, however.

Firewatch is currently available for PlayStation 4 and PC, though there are currently no plans to bring the game to Xbox One. However, Campo Santo has said in the past that they are open to bringing it to other platforms to reach an even bigger audience.

Firewatch is described by the game’s Steam page as a first-person mystery that is set in the Wyoming Wilderness. You control a man named Henry who leaves his old life behind to become a fire lookout, though the events that follow beyond that point take some interesting turns.
