If players are looking to maximize their Support gains for their units in Fire Emblem Engage, they should consider visiting the Fortune Teller. The Fortune Teller is an NPC vendor in the Somniel that operates at night and allows the Divine Dragon to gain more insight into their units’ thoughts. More specifically, when a character has their fortune told, players are able to see what the particular unit is worried about and whom this unit is thinking about. While a character’s worries are not that important, pairing the unit they are thinking in battle with the one whose fortune was told will bolster the chances of an increase in Support.

Unlocking the Fortune Teller in Fire Emblem Engage

The Fortune Teller in the Somniel is run by none other than Seadall, the Dancer whom Fire Emblem Engage players encounter and recruit during Chapter 15: Dancer in the Ruins. To clear this chapter, players must help the Dancer escape from enemy forces within the Northern Fortress. Once the fight is over, Alear can speak to Seadall to recruit him.

How to Recruit Etie: Best Class and Gifts in Fire Emblem Engage

Upon returning to the Somniel after Chapter 15 in Fire Emblem Engage, a pop-up notification will appear at the top of the screen that reads, “The fortune-teller is open.” To find Seadall’s new establishment, players must go down the road south of the farmstead where the Divine One keeps their animals. While passing by the Fortune Teller, players will receive a brief tutorial explaining how Seadall will only tell fortunes during the evening, after the sun has gone down. Accordingly, if players visit this location during the proper time, they should find Seadall standing in front of the Fortune Teller building in Fire Emblem Engage.

Having a character’s fortune told is free of charge, as all players must do is select a unit from their available roster to receive insight into their thoughts. After the session is over, the Divine Dragon can then plan out their next battle by placing the fortunate-told unit with the character mentioned in their thoughts. According to Pro Game Guides, this mechanic is a handy way of prioritizing whose Support to raise during the next enemy encounter.
