Nintendo has been launching some huge titles this year. Some of those were filled with controversy, such as Bayonetta 3, while others performed poorly in the technical part, not the sales. An example is Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, games that did great on sales numbers but are still riddled with issues. Now, one of the season’s last games is about to launch. Fire Emblem Engage is the next series entry, and the new trailer ‘Fire Emblem for Beginners’ is up for players to watch. While it is only in Japanese, many things are easy to follow, and some veteran fans can also pick up on some of the details.

The Fire Emblem Engage trailer for new players showcases basic movement, combat, and more

It is hard to understand the trailer, given that it is in Japanese without subtitles, but it seems the video focuses on the standard mechanics. We can see movement, combat phases, and the break mechanic. This is all great for people who haven’t played any of the games of this franchise. However, some veteran fans have also noticed several things, like a rock-scissors-paper type of combat and even some classes. Hopefully, we’ll get a translation soon. The video has some useful information that we’d like to see.

Fire Emblem Heroes Update 7.0.0 Patch Notes

The last main game of the series was Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and it did great. While some people thought the combat was a bit convoluted and the Monastery part was a bit boring, Engage seems to go back to the series’ roots. Plus, there are a lot of throwbacks to characters from previous entries. The Fire Emblem for Beginners trailer is the latest of many other Fire Emblem Engage videos we’ve seen. Hopefully, we’ll get even more information in the coming weeks before the game gets here. If you haven’t, you can pre-order the game that will launch on January 20, 2023, on the Nintendo Switch.
