The Nintendo Direct of today kicked off with a bang. While it was already leaked in the past, it is now official. Starting off with the announcements, the first one we got was Fire Emblem Engage. The next installment of the beloved franchise is coming this winter and it is closer than we thought. This time we have new things to look forward to. From a brand new story, new exploration mechanics, and more. While we have classic things coming back, the new mechanics we saw look very promising. Thankfully, the Fire Emblem Engage release date isn’t far away.
Fire Emblem Engage Release Date Set for January 20, 2023
While we already saw some leaks in the past, the game is now official. Fire Emblem Engage is the next entry of the Fire Emblem franchise. This game has some familiar mechanics. Things like grid battles and known characters. Although, we have a bunch of new and fun things this time. We were able to see the character roaming around the castle which means there’ll be a new exploration mechanic. Beyond that, we got a glimpse of the new protagonist that seems to be tied to Marth.

Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes – How to Get the True Ending
Having Fire Emblem Engage’s release date close is exciting. It seems that beyond all these new things, summoning characters from past games will be key during combat. We already saw the new protagonist being able to summon Marth to help during a fight. We also saw Celica making her appearance in the game. Hopefully, we’ll get some hidden characters too like the previous entry. It remains to see how great the mechanic will be while playing it. We are still waiting for the game to become available for pre-orders and so far we were able to see what the collector’s edition will have. It includes the game, a steel book, art cards, and the art book. The Fire Emblem Engage release date isn’t far away at all. Let’s hope the pre-orders open soon for all those who want to get the new entry of the franchise.
