Final Fantasy XV could be getting a PC release according to information hidden away on the game’s website. The information was discovered by NeoGaf user KupoNut, who dove into the code for the placeholder site setup for the upcoming reveal event. Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV will be hosted by Greg Miller and Tim Gettys on March 30th. The event was said to contain a ton of new information surrounding the upcoming JRPG title, but this bit seems to have come out before Square Enix planned.

The evidence supporting this rumor are entries setup on the site for individual storefronts where players can purchase their copy of Final Fantasy XV. Here there are the expected links to the PlayStation and Xbox stores, but there is also an entry for Steam, the Valve owned PC platform where most PC gamers buy their games. There are also entries for the expected PS4 and Xbox versions elsewhere on the site, along with the surprise PC version.

Until now Final Fantasy XV had only been officially announced for PS4 and Xbox One, so this information really shakes up the upcoming release. Of course, these could just be extra bits of code, added in case a PC release is coming or gets announced at some point, so this is definitely still in the rumor category. However, with Square Enix recently putting more FF content out on the PC platform, it isn’t wholly out of the question that FFXV would make the leap.

We should know more on March 30th when the event gets underway, so keep an eye out for more info leading up to it and during the event.
