The prologue of the last piece of DLC is coming next month.

The latest mainline installment of the Final Fantasy series, Final Fantasy XV, is still getting post-launch content nearly two and a half years after its release. The last bit of DLC the game is set to get will be in the form of “Episode Ardyn,” which will be available this March. But before then, fans can look forward to the release of “Episode Ardyn Prologue.”

It was recently revealed in a new story trailer that “Episode Ardyn Prologue” will come out in February, just ahead of the release of “Episode Ardyn” the following month. “Episode Ardyn Prologue” will be an animated short that sets up the events of “Episode Ardyn,” which itself takes place before the events of Final Fantasy XV‘s main story and delves into the backstory of the character Ardyn.

Earlier last year, the plan was for Final Fantasy XV to continue to receive DLC through the summer of 2019, with four more episodes meant to take a look at the backstories of various characters from the main game. However, after the game’s directer, Hajime Tabata, left Square Enix in October of last year, most of this planned DLC was cancelled, and now “Episode Ardyn” is slated to be the last piece of additional content for the game.
