While Final Fantasy XIV might be enjoying a peak in popularity following the release of Endwalker, it’s always good to look to the future. And for fans of the game, it’s comforting to know that the devs have the future well planned as the developers and producers prepare to outline “The Next 10 Years of FFXIV” in an upcoming Letter from the Producer LIVE show.
The first part of the show is entitled New Found Futures: The Next 10 Years of FFXIV and is likely to do just what it says on the tin. The game’s Producer and Director, Naoki Yoshida, plans to share information on the future of the game, with the show looking a decade into the future.
Beyond this, the show will feature an open Endwalker Q&A, allowing players to submit questions. To submit your own, head to the forum link here. It’s detailed that Yoshida will field as many as possible during the show.
The show will broadcast live on YouTube, Twitch, and Japanese streaming service NicoNico on Feb. 18. The stream starts at 18:00 PT.
And while the Q&A is sure to be illuminating, the prospect of 10 years of more content from Final Fantasy XIV is what fans will really be excited to hear about. Endwalker was the culmination of a decade of story, and Final Fantasy XIV has another 10 years of narrative in the tank, players are sure to be interested.
After all, Square Enix has proved they can keep an MMO alive for a long time before—FFXIV’s predecessor, Final Fantasy XI, will celebrate its 20th anniversary this year.
