Vanadinite is a dark red mineral rich in vanadium in Final Fantasy XIV that Master Blacksmiths and Armorers primarily use to produce Ilmenite Ingots. A single Ilmenite Ingot is made from five chunks of Ilmenite Ore and two clusters of Vanadinite. These ingots are used to forge a wide variety of endgame equipment, including the Rinascitas Weapons and Armor and the Indagator’s Tool Set. Therefore, if Gatherers and Crafters are looking to produce the best gear available on the market or for themselves, they will need to know how to procure the Vanadinite resource in FFXIV.

Obtaining Vanadinite in Final Fantasy XIV

As of Patch 6.3, there is only one way to get Vanadinite in Final Fantasy XIV. Suppose Warriors of Light visit the Western Balshahn Bazaar in Radz-at-Han. In that case, they will encounter Cihanti, an Au Ra Merchant found at (X:10.8 Y:10.4). She will sell players a stack of Vanadinite in exchange for Allagan Tomestones of Astronomy.

For those unfamiliar, Allagan Tomestones of Astronomy is a currency earned from Level 90 Dungeons, Trials, and Raids. According to sources at Dot Esports, the fastest way to earn this currency is by clearing Expert Roulettes on a daily basis. Participants will receive several dozen Allagan Tomestones of Astronomy per roulette completion. Additionally, a bonus of Tomestones will be rewarded to those who complete a random Level 90 Dungeon. While the instance clear time will vary depending on one’s teammates or the length of the activity, these Roulettes should generally take 20 to 30 minutes to complete. There are plenty of other Roulette activities as well that offer a decent reward of Allagan Tomestones of Astronomy for participation. However, Dot Esports claims that the Expert Roulettes are the most efficient source.

Hunts are another excellent source of Allagan Tomestones of Astronomy for farming Vanadinite in FFXIV. This activity type can potentially net players a massive number of Tomestones if they join a solid group that is well-organized in efficiently hunting down the targets in a timely manner. Nevertheless, finding the perfect Hunt party to farm Allagan Tomestones of Astronomy is not easy, especially for solo players less familiar with organized-group content. Therefore, Roulettes might be the better option for getting the Tomestones needed to buy Vanadinite in Final Fantasy XIV.

Final Fantasy XIV is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
