The intro cutscene for the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Remake demo has been leaked today. The first look at the intro cutscene sets the stage for what to expect in the full game.

The video beings with the main menu for the demo, which includes an option to purchase the full game. Other options for the demo include camera controls and difficulty.

In addition, the demo includes a classic mode for those that wish to issue commands during battles.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Hits The Nostalgia

From the jump, the demo is hitting all the different points of nostalgia, from a new version of the opening prelude to a behind shot of Cloud looking up to a Mako reactor.

The cutscene begins on a descending shot of Aerith sitting next to a pipe exuding mako. She is startled and runs out of the alley onto the streets of Midgar.

As Aerith comes out, she bumps into a man and drops her flowers that get trampled upon. The streets of Midgar feel lively, but the people feel cold and isolated.

A Beautifully Redesigned World

Aerith then looks up as the camera pulls out to reveal this newly redesigned Midgar, with the title screen punching into the center frame. Even though this is made by Square Enix, the amount of detail in the world is completely staggering.

The camera pulls in on a train entering, with the Cloud riding on top. The train stops at Mako Reactor One, and in no time the members of Avalanche take out the guards at the stop.

The camera pans over to reach Barrett, who looks over and gestures at Cloud to come down. Cloud jumps off the train donning his Buster Sword, with a nice transition from cutscene to the gameplay.

Hopefully, this leak means that a possible release of the Final Fantasy VII Remake demo is on the way soon. Given that the release date for the full game is on March 3, 2020, the demo should release shortly.
