Square Enix announces that Final Fantasy VII is coming to an end in January. Today’s announcement comes shortly after its release on Android and iOS 11 months ago. In fact, the game will be celebrating its first anniversary next month, on November 17, 2021.
Why is FFVII Shutting Down?
Given that Final Fantasy VII will turn one year old in November, it is shocking to receive information that it will shut down.
On that note, Square Enix shares its regrets about having to take such drastic action. The developers felt short of quality service delivery on the game from the announcement. Although they have been regularly and continuously fixing and updating the game, the game still needs a lot more.
