Back in June, we heard that the upcoming Final Fantasy 16 game would only have one playable character. However, after learning that the game will be a timed exclusive for PS5, we learned yet another thing. There will be two Final Fantasy 16 playable characters. The one that we already know about is Clive; however, the team has confirmed there’ll be another one for us to play as. We don’t know yet who’ll that be, but we imagine that they want to keep it secret until the game releases. With the game reaching its final stages of development, it is nice to know more things about this ambitious RPG.

Two Final Fantasy 16 Playable Characters will be available in the game

Having different playable characters in Final Fantasy games isn’t something new. We’ve seen it in almost all core titles of the franchise. Final Fantasy 15 was the exception for a while until the DLCs arrived. With the upcoming Final Fantasy 16 game, it is nice to know they’ll continue this tradition. Square Enix is known to give players a chance to play with many characters and classes or jobs, as they call them. Take Tactics Ogre Reborn, for example; the plethora of classes there is huge. And Final Fantasy 7 Remake also lets you take control of every member of your party.

Final Fantasy 14 Will Release a New Deep Dungeon

We would love to know more about Final Fantasy 16 playable characters, but they usually want to keep that hidden. Thankfully, Square Enix is also good at keeping things secret and avoiding leaks. Unlike God of War Ragnarok or GTA 6. Yet, we hope to get more trailers or gameplay showcases before the game launches next year. For now, Final Fantasy fans can jump into the MMO or wait for the Crisis Core Remaster to arrive next month.
