After chapters of hard work and grinding, you’re finally at Triangle Strategy’s last battle. Now, we knew Idore was the big bad in some form, but nobody expected him to turn into…that. Now, you’re up against an Aelfric-powered human who’s capable of killing units in one turn and summoning an endless number of Hierophants—nasty automatons that insta-kills any unit with three or more TPs.

The trick to winning this fight is to defeat most, if not all, of the automatons first before you approach Idore. They’re the ones with the firepower to eliminate your units. Ignore the Hierophant (unless it’s the last unit to defeat) since Idore can just summon more.

For this battle, you’ll want to bring:

  • ArchibaldMaxwellAnna

You need to do this with none of your allies ending their turn with three TPs or more as to not get hit by the Hierophant—which, oddly enough, is very simple to do.

Equip Archibald with the Obsidian Anklet and a Strength Bracelet. He can two-shot foes with this gear. If he fires an arrow with another powerful unit like Roland on the opposite end, it’s devastating.

Maxwell has a very valuable skill called Traverse. This will allow him to position himself behind an enemy or on the opposing side of another ally for a follow-up attack. Plus, the automatons’ accuracy is not that great and Maxwell’s evasion stat is. Equip him with an Evasion and Strength Bracelet, and he’ll ballet his way around the enemies and rarely get hit. Anna can help you trigger two follow-up attacks.

You might also want Benedict and Medina in the team: two valuable characters that can grant allies immediate turns.

How to defeat Idore

With the automatons are gone, it’s time to surround Idore. Unleash a volley of follow-up attacks. Make Archibald fire his arrows. Use the Missed Opportunity Quietus to prevent Idore from moving for a turn. By the way, Idore produces a one-time immunity shield every time he ends him turn. Remember this, so you don’t accidentally end up wasting a skill.

For this fight, you want your more mobile of offensive allies, like Roland and Maxwell, to chase Idore around since he will try to run away. You might lose a unit or two to his magic, but without distractions, he’ll be defeated pretty quickly. Idore is also not immune to turn delay, so unleash Serenoa’s Delaying Strike when given the opportunity!
