Adding a touch of personality

In FIFA 22, many modes are playable from the get-go. From club/player careers to simple kick-off matches, however, EA’s most popular mode, Ultimate Team, rules above all. If you have previously played last year’s rendition, FIFA 21, your club name and date of establishment carry over into the next year.

Not only is the club title able to be updated, but also kits, badges and stadiums across the world of Football coincide alongside it. A huge amount of pride is put into our Ultimate Team’s each year, and after a while, we may want to switch things up a little, below is a quick tutorial on how to update your team’s club name for this year’s title.

How To Change Your Club Name in FIFA 22

Firstly, after starting FIFA 22 up, navigate to the Ultimate Team tab and begin to open the mode. Further on, look for the “Objectives” tab and press X/A, opening up many branches of tasks and goals. Using RB/R1 to explore, find “The Basics”  section and proceed to click on the “Change Club Name” task that has been given to you. Altering your club’s title also rewards you with One-Hundred and Fifty Ultimate Team coins.

From here, a page will open itself allowing you to customize your club’s name, and the three-letter abbreviation seen whilst in-game. Keep in mind that you only have one chance at a club renaming, whatever you choose will be what is set for your Ultimate Team from there onwards. Although this is an objective, it hasn’t necessarily got to be completed if you are content with your current team name, but the choice given is a welcome one at that.

FIFA 22 is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Microsoft Windows.
