Proof of who is the best.
FIFA 20 brings new ways to play within Kick Off this year, including the new Volta mode. Within this mode as always, you can track your head to head record and stats against your friends in the game. This is a very big part of the competition aspect of Kick Off mode, so knowing how to get it setup to track compared to your friends is very important.
The very first thing you have to do here is to select the Kick Off button found on the menu screen after you get the game loaded up. This will then bring up the Welcome to Kick Off area that prompts you to create your Kick Off account essentially.
Once the Side Select screen is brought up, you are able to change your name if you so choose. If you do not, it should be defaulted to your account name on PSN and such. If you want to link another Kick Off Name to your actual account for stat tracking purposes, make sure to hit Select and then Link Kick Off Name To Account. If you do not have any others, there’s nothing to do here.
If you’re playing with a friend, make sure they create a Kick Off name here and select the opposite side if you want to play against one another. You can play against the AI here and track stats over time against them too, which we’ll get to in a minute.
At this point, hit Ready to advance to the next screen that lets you select from all the different gameplay options. As you highlight over each of these options to choose from, you can press Triangle on PS4 to bring up a screen with a breakdown of stats between either you and a friend or you and the AI, depending on if you had a friend join in on the step prior. This breakdown will consist of the stats between the two of you for all the modes across four pages of information.
Having a record of all your stats in your Kick Off account is a really cool feature, as it lets you have a history of your prior games with a specific friend and can serve as proof when your friend is claiming they are always beating you at FIFA 20.
