According to Reddit User Antipativome, the demo for the new FIFA game, FIFA 20, will be dropping on September 12th. This all stems from a picture they posted that shows Eden Hazard decked out in his new Real Madrid strip, and next to him is the logo FIFA 20 Demo. It also has a number scrubbed out after the date of the release, but it isn’t that hard to make out what it is. It could be quite a smart photoshop job, but there’s also an excellent chance that it’s real as it would make sense for EA to unleash the demo a few weeks before the full game goes live.
What Is It Promising?
So what does this image of the FIFA 20 demo seem to be promising us? Well, first off, there are ten club badges all in a row, which leads me to believe that these will be the teams that we can play through the game with at this point. They are as follows.
- Liverpool
- Real Madrid
- Borussia Dortmund
- Manchester City
- PSG
- Roma
- Atletico Madrid
- Club America
- LAFC
- Vissel Kobe
There are quite a few heavy hitters in that line-up which means that a lot of people are going to be able to get to grips with their favorite clubs before the full release on the 27th.
There’s also the shot of Hazard, Sancho, and Sterling that has been used on more than one occasion to publicize the new Volta mode, which we all know is an update to FIFA Street, with a tag-line that states “Preview Experience Of.” This should mean that we will be getting a taste of this new model, but in what form, it doesn’t say. If it’s anything like the usual demo fair you get in football games, it will be one vs. one, or one vs. cpu, but that’s fine by this writer as I’ve been itching to try this out ever since it was announced.
EA has yet to confirm or deny if this is a legit picture and until they do we should take it with a pinch of salt but all signs point to, yes, this is very real and, yes, the FIFA 20 will be with us in around 12 days.
