Today at 4:00 a.m. PDT, we had the first update for the upcoming patch of Final Fantasy 14. FFXIV July Live Letter had a lot of nice things that players wanted. Plus, we got an estimated release date according to their release schedule. FFXIV Patch 6.2 will release around late August of this year. The prominent patches of this MMO usually have a release window of 4 months. And this checks out. Today was only the first part of the update. The next FFXIV Live Letter is yet to be announced, but we are already eager for it.

FFXIV Live Letter Announces Patch 6.2 Will Release This August

Most of the announcements in today’s FFXIV July Live Letter were some that everyone expected. We have the continuation for the game’s Main Scenario Quest. This includes a new dungeon and new rewards as well. We also have news regarding the artifact weapons of this Endwalker expansion. The weapons will be tied to Hildibrand’s questline. These quests are one of the most fun ones in the game. And now they will be mandatory if you want that sweet relic weapon. We are also getting a new difficulty of raids which is comparable to World of Warcraft’s Mythic difficulty. This has players very excited because everyone’s been asking for challenging dungeons. This one is one of the most significant announcements in this FFXIV Live Letter.

Another huge update we got was about the Island Sanctuary. When it was announced, even the developers were surprised by the feedback, which was quite positive. That is why this feature got pushed back all the way until patch 6.2, as announced in this FFXIV July Live Letter. Players can expect a personal space that will let them farm, get minions, and explore. Yoshi-P has stated that it will not be Minecraft in Final Fantasy. For that, Square Enix is already working on a new game called Harvestella. This FFXIV Live Letter was huge, and we are excited for the second part, which we expect will be in early August.
