It is a myth that being a Healer is the most boring job in Crystalline Conflict. Yes, the most important thing they must do is keep everybody else healthy, but Healers often have a lot to do with whether or not a team fight is won or lost. Losing out on a Healer could spell out trouble for a team quickly, so in a way, a Healer is a critical component of any team.

How to keep a team healthy in FFXIV Crystalline Conflict

One nice thing about Healers in Crystalline Conflict is that most of them have other abilities that either boost the team or provide crowd control. The White Mage, for example, can use Miracle of Nature to apply a solid stun on a key target so that a teammate can hopefully come in for the kill.

The most important thing for any Healer to remember is who the hyper carries are on the team and to protect them. A team with a strong Ranged DPS on the composition (like a Black Mage) usually is the primary damage dealer. Therefore, if that mage takes too much damage, the Healer needs to be there to keep them alive.

A good Healer will also remember the effective range of each enemy. There is no reason for any Healer to be in range of chip damage unless they are popping in to use a quick crowd control ability. Healers are meant to be backline players who keep the team healthy from a safe distance.
