Final Fantasy XIV‘s latest expansion pack Endwalker adds tons of new content for players to do and enjoy. One of the most unique ones is Hydaelyn’s dog Argos. FFXIV: Endwalker players are able to ride Argos on the Moon in one of the Main Scenario Quests, but once that segment is done, you might be wondering whether you can unlock Argos as your own permanent mount or not. How to Get Argos as a Mount
Unlocking the Argos mount is actually really easy since it is tied to the FFXIV: Endwalker Main Scenario Quest. After you complete the last story quest of the expansion, the titular “Endwalker“, you will automatically receive Argos as a quest reward. Just like when you rode it while exploring Mare Lamentorum in The Sea of Stars region, you can fly around with Argos, but of course, you have to unlock all of the Aether Currents in a region first. Argos also features a special musical theme when you mount it, but don’t forget to enable the “Play music when mounted” option in your System Configuration menu beforehand.
However, once you got the Argos mount, try not to flex it by riding Argos in other areas outside of the new ones added in Endwalker. Some newer players might perceive it as you spoiling things from the Endwalker expansion’s main story quests. Enjoy exploring FFXIV‘s world with your new, magical golden puppy!
