At the end of the first 2019 F1 New Balance Esports Pro Series event, Ferrari is on top. The Ferrari Drivers’ Academy won two races, in Bahrain and China with driver David Tonizza. 17-year-old Tonizza also finished in third place in the last race of the day on Baku’s circuit. A fantastic performance that gave to the Ferrari’s driver the championship lead at the end of the first event of the season.

This event that took place at the Gfinity Esports Arena in London, also saw Red Bull winning the third race. Red Bull’s driver, Frederik Rasmussen, by winning on the Baku’s circuit grabbed the championship’s second place.

The first race of the F1 Po Series has been on the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir. Tonizza started third on the grid but ended up dominating the competition. Second place for Renault Sport’s driver Jarno Opmeer. Third Alfa Romeo’s Salih Saltunc.

The second race on the Shangai International Circuit saw Tonizza ending on top again. Rasmussen took the second place with his Red Bull, and SportPesa’s Mercel Kiefer got the third place.

In the last race of the day on the Baku City Circuit in Azerbaijan, Rasmussen took the win, followed by Williams Esports’ Tino Naukkarinen. David Tonizza closed the race with a third place.

The Standings at the end of the F1 Pro Series 1

At the end of the competition day, Tonizza reigns supreme on top of the drivers’ standings with 65 points. Frederik Rasmussen second with 43 points and Marcel Kiefer third with 29 points.

For the teams, Ferrari is on top with Tonizza’a 65 points. Red Bull is second with 44 points. And eRacing is third with 38 points, resulting from the combined effort of its drivers Kiefer and Haddad.

The F1 Esports Pro Series 1 is only the first event of the season on a total of four. The Pro Series 2 will be on October 2nd. Pro Series 3 is set on November 6th, and the Grand Final will take place on December 4th.
