Undoubtedly, the most efficient method of obtaining gear is to run Mythic+ dungeons. This is because Mythic+, unlike every single other way of getting gear, is not capped on a lockout or a timer. Every single run of Mythic+ will reward some level of gear to your party at the end, and with no lockout, you can do this without limit. We recommend running Mythic+, over and over again, with a dedicated group of like-minded individuals, that is to say, people who want just want to get gear upgrades.
Additionally, your potential gear upgrades increase every time you time a key. As such, we recommend you stack your group with members of your same armor class. So, if you’re playing a plate class, all four team members should also be wearing plate. This allows you and your squad to share gear drops, potentially leading to you getting even more gear than the game typically intends. Mythic+ gear, at its peak, reaches just above Heroic levels of the Vaults of the Incarnate raid, and just below Mythic of the raid.
