While it is helpful to know what platforms you can play Farming Simulator 22 on, you may also want to know what maps you’ll be farming on. Being unique locations, maps can change not only the visual experience but also the gameplay itself. With that in mind, below, you’ll find the list of playable maps in Farming Simulator 22.

What are the maps in Farming Simulator 22?

Elm Creek

The most beginner-friendly map, Elm Creek features mild weather and flat terrain, making it very easy to get your operation off the ground as well as helping you learn the ropes of the game. Furthermore, it features the most fields among the maps, allowing you to construct a farming empire across 82 fields. Beyond that, it’s quintessential small-town rural United States and a beautiful visual environment for players to enjoy.

Haut-Beyleron

Taking a departure from the ease of Elm Creek is Haut-Beyleron. It also takes a departure from the U.S., instead opting for a breathtaking rural environment in Southern France for its region. This region makes farming harder because it is a more compact and hillier location and features only 48 fields. However, its climate is warmer, allowing you to grow a different variety of crops when compared to the milder climate of Elm Creek.

Erlengrat

Erlengrat is the map where farming operations go to fail. This map is Farming Simulator 22’s version of Hard Mode and should not be taken lightly. What it does share in common with the former maps is its natural beauty, as it is situated in the heavily mountainous Swiss Alps region. However, similarities end there as the weather is harsher, the terrain is tougher, and the location is the smallest and most compact, with just 25 fields, making it a great challenge for experienced players and a benchmark for beginners to reach.

Silverrun Forest

A Platinum Edition-only map, Silverrun Forest is an amazing-looking location but is perhaps the most unique map in the game. Offering just three fields total, the map is instead designed around logging operations. To this end, the map offers you a few forestry vehicles to start the game with and has a purchasable sawmill on-site. Once you’ve gathered enough materials and advanced far enough, you can even build a boat in the town’s port.
