Every character in Genshin Impact needs a bit of work if you want to use them on your team. You’re going to need to prep materials to ascend them and level up their talents. Shehe is a special case, as she is neither a new player-friendly character, nor easy to farm for if you’re not far into the story.
Shenhe is a Liyue character, but her needed materials are split between Liyue and Inazuma. Even after making it to Inazuma though, you will still need to do quite a bit of work as her boss materials come from La Signora and Enkanomiya. This makes her impossible to ascend for newer players.

In addition to these, you will need 421 Hero’s Wit and 7.1 million mora to ascend Shenhe and finish leveling her talents.
