(Spoilers for Far Cry 5 ahead)
The ending of Far Cry 5 featured a nuclear missile hitting the outskirts of Hope County, Montana. The only two survivors from the attack were the game’s main antagonist, Joseph Seed, and the player. The game ends with the two characters waiting out the fallout in Dutch’s bunker with Seed telling the player that he will be his new family.
Set 17 years after the ending of Far Cry 5, Far Cry: New Dawn puts us back in Hope County as one of the remaining survivors of the region. The trailer also gave us our first look at the game’s main antagonists, The Twins. It seems that Joseph Seed will also return in the sequel.
Far Cry: New Dawn releases February 15, 2019, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
