Far Cry New Dawn is gold, as shared by technical director at Ubisoft Montreal Raphael Parent in a tweet over the weekend.

While we’ve not received an official communication from the dev team, which only limited to retweeting Parent’s post, it’s confirmed the game has reached this status.

“New Dawn is Gold! Very proud of this game! Hope you enjoy playing it as much as we had fun making it!,” he said.

Most probably to celebrate the milestone, Ubisoft hold a Q&A with the dev team where the debuting light RPG component was detailed.

Creative director Jean-Sebastien Decant offered a look at how this new feature will work throughout the game.

“You’ll be able to craft guns that have ranks, and these guns will be useful to fight against enemies that also have ranks,” said Decant (via VG247.com).

Interestingly, enemies will have a level that will let you know how many chances you have to beat them in a fight, similarly to the Assassin’s Creed series post Origins.

You’ll also manage to invest in your home base to see it grow, and when you take an outpost you’ll need to properly handle the human resources over there as the enemy will have the chance to retake it.

Once they retake it, it’ll be tougher for you to regain control of the outposts, even though the rewards you’ll obtain by regaining it will be bigger.

Far Cry New Dawn is releasing as soon as February 15, 2019, after a surprising reveal at The Game Awards last December.
