The new chapter of Far Cry 5, Far Cry New Dawn, like any self-respecting Far Cry allows you to do hunting and fishing. You can capture six different fish types at six different locations, and completing this task will unlock the “You’re at Catch” trophy. However, before going for fishing make sure that you have purchased the skill called “Fishing rod” so as to have the fishing rod between the rose arms. It is also recommended to have the “Outdoor Enthusiast” ability to make fishing easier.

Now that you are set to go for fishing in Far Cry New Dawn let’s take a look at the locations of all the fish in the game.

How to catch fish in Far Cry New Dawn?

  • Step 1: Select the fishing rod and go to the place where you want to use it.
  • Step 2: Press L2 or LT to throw the barrel and leave the bait just on the water. Do not press the button too hard; it will only take a fraction of a second.
  • Step 3: Press L2 or LT repeatedly until you have a fish.
  • Step 4: At this point press R2 or RT to lock the fish and hook it. The fish will try to escape; you block it using the analog sticks in the opposite direction to the movement of the fish (if it goes to the right, you press the lever to the left and the other way around).

All the fish and their locations in Far Cry New Dawn

The fish are divided by rarity and obviously difficulty. You go to simple fishing spots because the trophy does not take into account the rarity of the fish.
