During the reveal event of Apple Arcade, Mistwalker and Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi have announced a brand new game currently in the making.
The game is called Fantasian and first footage has been showcased in the video announcement of the new subscription service by Apple.
Fantasian is being built exclusively for iOS, Apple TV and Mac devices, and is action RPG with a particular twist.
Indeed, the Japanese studio is crafting each environement after dioramas specifically built to be included in the title.
“We are building dioramas, photographing them and adding 3D characters,” said Hironobu Sakaguchi in the video.
“I’m a little scared of how many sets we are going to have to build in the end,” he added suggesting the game will be rather big.
Fantasian doesn’t have a release date set yet, but it’s likely releasing together with the Apple Arcade subscription this fall.
