If you owned a PS3 back in the day, chances are that you owned Little Big Planet. It’s widely regarded as one of the best series from the PS3 era and offered great gameplay for people of all ages, and the second title continued that. The third installment, Little Big Planet 3, didn’t hold up to the other two games. Still, the series was highly regarded and is remembered to this day. More specifically it’s remembered by a group known as Trixel Creative. They’re a group of creators, focusing on “games where user-generated content is a major focus” with one of those games being Little Big Planet. With that passion, they’ve decided to remake the entirety of Little Big Planet, bringing it to PC. The news was announced via a Youtube trailer posted just a week ago. It was only found by a lot of the community recently though.

The footage within the trailer is pre-alpha, but it already looks great. The in-game Create Mode already seems to be working smoothly, just as it did on the original PS3 version. Not only is it just as extensive, but it’ll also feature stickers not seen in the PS3 version! This fan project will be known as Little Big Planet Restitched and is currently in development with no planned release date. When there is one, we’ll be sure to update you.

According to the group’s official website, the game will feature a brand new story mode. This one is planned to include moral messages and great themes, which should give something new for returning LBP fans. It should also give new players a story that is more in line with today’s game standards. If you want to know more info about not only the story but also the whole remake, you can read the official post here.

Given that it has been five years since a main entry in the LBP series, fans are sure to be excited. Speaking of games though, we released our games of the year for 2019 this morning. You can find that full list here. On top of that, today is the 23rd anniversary of Mario Kart 64 which is longer than some of us at The Nerd Stash have been alive. There’s a lot to be excited about today, to say the least.

Otherwise, are you looking forward to Little Big Planet Restitched? If you played any of the other LBP games, what did you think of them? Tell us about your experience, and keep an eye on The Nerd Stash for more news, reviews, and more!
