Elden Ring may well be one of the most acclaimed games released this year. So how about playing this game on the original Game Boy? What would Elden Ring look like on a 1993 Game Boy? You may not be the only player wondering about this. A fan-made demake of Elden Ring has been released.

First of all, a demake is the opposite of a remake. In other words, the demake game makes the current game look more retro. We’ve seen demake game all in the last months. One of the most famous examples was Bloodborne.

A FromSoftware fan -shin- began developing a ‘re-adaption’ of the Elden Ring, demaking the game’s massive open world to fit Nintendo’s ’93 console.

You Can Play Elden Ring via GBA Emulator

In the subreddit Elden Ring, which quickly went viral, Shin shared a proof of concept for the remake. The few minutes-long remake concept begins with the game’s starting place, the Chapel of Anticipation, and concludes with the Grafted Scion battle.

While the animations are a bit primitive at the moment, actually, we can say that it is an impressive concept that we would like to see more of. The version available from Itch.io is playable in the browser, via emulators, or even on a real Game Boy if you have one.

It is not yet clear how much the Elden Ring demake version will cover of the game. As you know, the actual game is massive, but the developer is awaited to turn as much of the Lands Between into a Game Boy adventure as possible.

A trailer for the fan-made demake of the game for Game Boy can be watched above and can be played this version of the game for free.
