Fantasy Flight Games is one of the biggest and best board game producers around. They’ve made such all time classics as Battlestar Galactica (a personal favorite of mine) and Arkham Horror. They’ve even dabbled in the video game realm before, making licensed board games based on Doom and The Witcher. Now they’re teasing a new project based on the Fallout franchise.
Not much is known just yet about this supposed Fallout board game, but Fantasy Flight put out a little teaser on their official Twitter account. They also have a specific page for the game on their site, although it looks like they’ve disabled it temporarily. An announcement is probably coming soon, so expect to see it come back online around then.
UPDATE: FFG has done a full rundown of the Fallout board game, which you can check out here.
Board games have truly exploded over the last decade, with the hobby experiencing a bit of a golden age. New games are coming out all of the time, and many are considered some of the best ever released. Big gaming conventions like PAX have featured separate areas for board games for a while, but this year saw them host a board game specific convention as its own thing.
If you haven’t jumped on the board game bandwagon then maybe Fallout will be a good start.
