“Kill a Snallygaster 0/3” is a Daily Challenge that Vault Dwellers will occasionally receive in Fallout 76. Completing this hunt will reward participants with 250 S.C.O.R.E., which can be used to progress one’s in-game Rank. For reference, the Snallygaster is a mutated creature that was used with the experimental Forced Evolutionary Virus, causing it to turn into a “dragon-like demon” with dozens of eyes. Due to its mutations, this hostile monster prefers to inhabit highly toxic or irradiated areas, as they are innately immune to radiation damage. Therefore, players must be well-equipped before searching the habitats of these beasts in Fallout 76.
Finding Snallygasters in Fallout 76
The best locations to find a Snallygaster in Fallout 76 would be the spots where it is guaranteed to spawn on every server. Such locations include Toxic Larry’s Meat ‘n Go and the Charleston Capitol Building north of the Mount Blair workshop. Toxic Larry’s Meat ‘n Go is a landmark located east of Wendigo Cave and northwest of Berkeley Springs.
Fallout 76: Blood Eagle Locations
According to sources at the Nukapedia Fallout Wiki, three Snallygasters always spawn at Toxic Larry’s Meat ‘n Go without fail in Fallout 76. As a result, Vault Dwellers can visit this location to easily complete their “Kill a Snallygaster 0/3” Daily Challenge. Suppose players arrive at the location and the mutant demons are not there. In that case, someone else likely already hunted them down. Therefore, users will need to server-hop to the same location or search in the second spawn spot — Charleston Capitol Building. The beasts do not spawn directly within the perimeter of the Capitol Building; instead, they will spawn and wander the ruins between the Hornwright Industrial Headquarters and the Charleston Capitol Building.
YouTuber JiMacSteelGaming claims that two Snallygasters will spawn near the Capitol Building. Based on gameplay footage by this user, players can stand atop the structure and snipe the monster from a safe distance to complete the Daily Challenge’s objective. Another excellent location for farming Snallygasters would be the Flooded Trainyard near the southeast corner of the map. This location can spawn up to six. Finally, Vault Dwellers are encouraged to give Pylon V-13 a search if they are in the area, as two Snallygasters have a chance of spawning at this location in Fallout 76.
Fallout 76 is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
