A week ago Bethesda revealed that voice work on Fallout 4 had completed, totaling more lines of dialogue than Fallout 3 and Skyrim combined. This news was great for the gaming community, who are anxiously awaiting the release of the game, but was sad for one voice actor who felt left out of the fun.

Erik Todd Dellums, the voice actor who portrayed the famous radio announcer Three Dog in Fallout 3 took to Twitter to express his sadness, but also his congratulations on finishing work on the game. “I admit, the finality of this tweet felt like a gut punch,” said Dellums “Sad to not be included. Best with the game.”

Many wondered if Three Dog would be returning, as the voice actor was one of the people whose hints and tweets were spurring on anticipation of the game’s official reveal. However, it seems that Bethesda chose to go another route, removing the Three Dog character, or never really intending to include him in the first place.

Fallout 4 does take place in post-apocalyptic Boston, which is a bit of a trek from Washington D.C. where Three Dog called home for Fallout 3. Of course, a story element could have easily been crafted to get the character where he needed to be, but perhaps Bethesda has a new radio talent for us all to love.

Fallout 4 hits PS4, Xbox One, and PC on November 10th.
