Bethesda has issued the release of Fallout 4 Update 1.2 to PC. The patch is available now on the platform via whatever method you purchased the game. Containing various bug fixes and overall enhancements, the update will be hitting PS4 and Xbox One later this week. Check out the full patch notes below to see what has been changed.
New Features: Number pad keys can now be used for remapping (PC), Remapping Activate now works on Quick Container (PC)
Fixes: General memory and stability improvements, Performance improvements inside the Corvega Assembly Plant, Optimizations to skinned decal rendering, Fixed issue with player becoming stuck in terminals, Fixed issue where equipped weapons become locked after completing Reunions, Fixed issue with “When Freedom Calls” where the quest would not complete, During “Confidence Man” fixed issue where player’s health would continuously regenerate, Fixed crash related to jumping into water and reloading saved games, Fixed issue where Launcher would not save God Rays Quality setting properly (PC).
Fallout 4 has been remarkable for how stable it is in comparison to other Bethesda games at launch, however that doesn’t mean the game was solid in relation to player expectations. Many bugs and glitches were still in the game, and performance problems were particularly noteworthy on consoles. Framerate dips were pretty common, and while this update doesn’t seem to address them, hopefully they can be tuned up soon.
