Fallout 4’s first DLC called Automatron is out now, though there is a lot more coming in the game’s future this year. Bethesda just announced on Twitter that the tweaked Survival Mode will be entering its beta phase on Steam soon.

While exact details regarding when the beta would begin were not revealed, we do have some details that leaked earlier this year. It will apparently contain things like fatigue negatively impacting sickness and starvation levels, disabling of quick-saves and fast travel and even adding an Adrenaline perk that ups your damage as you get more kills.

Bethesda previously confirmed that Survival Mode could stay in beta for a while, saying “If it’s not really working, and we need to iterate on it, it may stay in beta for a month, depending on what we are changing. But we want to make it have the game feel different. The bits we’ve done, and me recently playing it, it’s absolutely some of the most fun I’ve had playing Fallout. I mean that honestly. It changes it in a good way for me, but it might not for everybody.”

Unfortunately, it was also revealed that there won’t be a “making of” documentary for the game, which the publisher had done in the past with previous games of theirs.
