Microsoft and Bethesda have revealed the official release date for Fallout 4 mods on Xbox One. The new feature will arrive for free on May 31st to all players on the console, with PS4 players having to wait an undetermined amount of time after, with a possible release date in June. Fallout 4 mods will allow players to download user created modifications for their game. The mods will be created on PC, where players have been able to use the mods for some time, but in a series first, players on console will also get to enjoy the fun.
With Fallout 4 mods only having been available for a short time, we’ve already seen a lot of really fun and interesting ones spread around the internet. More are sure to come though, as amateur developers figure out how to mess with the game to deliver unique gameplay opportunities, and better customization for players.
Fallout 4 mods on Xbox One and PS4 seem to be a part of a new trend, with the formerly PC-only feature making its way to consoles in a couple of big titles. Hopefully the added replay value lets PS4 and Xbox One players really get some extra enjoyment out of their Fallout 4 experience.
