Fall Guys players claim that a bug in the game’s store led them to purchase items they wanted to preview, and Mediatonic refuses refunds. The developer has started providing descriptions to players who accidentally purchased these items due to an auto-buy bug.

What is the Fall Guys Auto-Buy Bug?

The Fall Guys auto-buy bug originally appeared when players found that simply previewing an item could result in an in-game purchase due to the game’s lack of a purchase confirmation option. Usually, players would have to confirm their purchase after the preview, but they now claim that their in-game currency was ‘stolen’ without their consent in exchange for items. Reddit players started spreading the problem last week.

Reddit posts shared by StwPlayer and Giremo_Cp showed Fall Guys players screenshots of Mediatonic emails inadvertently requesting refunds for in-game purchases. Giremo_Cp said that despite only clicking on the item for additional information, he mistakenly purchased the Salsa Sombrero kit for 500 Show Bucks. Also, DerpyDog24’s video confirms the Fall Guys Store auto-buy bug. Payment is made automatically when the user clicks on an item for preview.

While Mediatonic acknowledged the problems, it didn’t provide information on when the bug would be fixed and payments would be made.

Despite all this, we’re going to play an Assassin’s Creed-themed event on Fall Guys. The event contains characters from the series, and Assassin’s Creed’s theme shapes the challenges. The event is limited time, and it will be available for four days. Eivor and Odin, which we know from the AC series, will appear at this event.

Fall Guys became a free-to-play game at the end of June. The long-awaited, free-to-play version of the Battle Royale game has been released for Nintendo Switch and Xbox platforms. It was also removed from Steam for PC and came to the Epic Games Store in June.
