Around this time last year, developer Mediatonic was gearing up to take the gaming world by storm with their take on the battle royale genre, Fall Guys. This title promised a lot, being the first battle royale to feature Mario Party-style competitive modes instead of the usual PvP shooter fare of the time. And when it was released, it took the world by storm. When we reviewed it (or rather, I myself), it was an awesome game with a lot going for it, only lacking the content to keep that staying power. Still, the developers have kept at it, releasing several new seasons and updates with plenty of fresh content. Today, in fact, is the one-year anniversary of Fall Guys, a game that’s come a long way! Congratulations to the team at Mediatonic for such a successful first year.

We aren’t the only ones celebrating though, as the development team wants to celebrate Fall Guys’ one-year anniversary in style. Those who jump onto Fall Guys now can score themselves two pieces of gear at 10 kudos a pop. This is a combo of a new party hat (which changes color based on your bean’s color!) and a brand new birthday pattern, letting you celebrate the wonders of, as it’s dubbed, “Bean Day”. There’s also a brand new Happy Bean Day mode, alongside double crowns to celebrate the momentous occasion.

While I don’t play Fall Guys myself anymore (I may have binged and burnt myself out at launch), it’s insane to think the game has reached its one-year anniversary. It feels like just yesterday we were jumping it, diving our way to failed crown attempts. Or perhaps, that was just me. Jokes aside, I’m happy to see the game still going as strong as it is after all this time.

What was your favorite memory from the first year of Fall Guys? Do you still play from time to time? Let me know!
