Fae Tactics, the turn-based tactics game from Endlessfluff Games and Humble Games, just received a new trailer at the PC Gaming Show. The trailer shows off more gameplay, but also announced a Summer release date onto Steam. The game also arrives on the Nintendo Switch, later on allowing more people to experience magical tactics. The game looks promising so far and with a magical take on the turn-based tactics formula, there are no doubts it will gain a following.

Fae Tactics follows the story of Peony, a young girl on a journey through a magical and vibrant world full of places to discover. Long ago there was the natural world and the magic world, but they have since merged and caused chaos. The destruction of the magic world has left much in ruin, but some humans do still survive in this world. Using your spells and tactical intellect, you’ll adventure across these worlds and help put an end to the war between man and fae. What secrets will you uncover? What kinds of characters will you meet? All of this will be answered when the game releases later this Summer.

Overall, Fae Tactics looks to be a solid entry into the turn-based tactics genre. It takes a much more traditional approach to its pixel art style which hasn’t been used for some time. Fans of older games should find a lot to love in Fae Tactics, even down to its gameplay. Everything seems very fluid and well-refined, and one can only hope that will translate into the final product. We’ll have to wait and see how that goes, but I’m at least hopeful.

My opinion isn’t the only one though. We’d love to hear what you think of Fae Tactics as well as the rest of the show. Otherwise, stay tuned here at The Nerd Stash for all your news, reviews, and more!
